Happy shoes.

Like most people I have a predominent colour theme to my wardrobe. Work is black. Home is brown and autumn greens. I favour smart over casual.

So these are not at all like me. But I love them. Dennis hates them but everyone has a lapse of good judgement from time to time. They are as soft as butter ( but more protective), a little brighter than the photo shows, I can walk for miles in them and it is impossible not to be happy wearing them.

I was very amused to get a message from Janet who thought she had spotted me at Festival of Quilts sitting outside Weatherspoons but decided not to approach in case it was not me. Was it you, she asked? The woman she saw was wearing green shoes. I was indeed. I had my feet under the table as far as I recall, but maybe these shoes are a bit louder than I thought.

I just asked Dennis to describe them and explain why he hates them. He may have lapses of good judgement but he is not suicidal. He thought carefully,
"They cry out for attention."
He waited, and when I didn't throw anything he added,
"And they don't need to cry too loud."

Huh.

I don't care. They are happy, happy shoes.

Everyone needs at least one pair of happy shoes. Mine were pink with kitten heels, until they wore out and I replaced them with red polka dotted skimmers. Tell Denis that's why we women have so many shoes -- some days are quiet and some days we like to cry out. ;-)

I love them. I'd buy those shoes in a minute, especially if they cam in red!

I had a pair of red cowboy boots once that I never wore, but I looked at them a lot and smiled

When you wear happy shoes, how can you not feel happy? We all need a pair to make us feel as though we are flying. Love the color and they look so comfy! Have a great week.

Love them, would buy them in a New York minute -- but they would only join, not replace the pumpkin orange ones I love and that shout out for attention, which they deserve.

It's important to have (and wear/use) things like these shoes -- things that make you feel good even if they don't fit with other parts of your personality or personae. Wear them and enjoy every step of the journey!

I want a pair of shoes just like those. Where did you get them? Can I send for them?
I need something to replace my red suede walking shoes.

Yes, those are the ones I saw at the FOQ! Next time I see them I promise I will stop and say 'hello'!
