Boy/ girl planners

My husband and I met up recently for lunch and had a little planning session.

Girl planner came out.

Man planner came out.

It makes my teeth hurt!

I waltzed him quick smart around to the stationers and showed him his choices : Leuchturm, Moleskine, mini Filofax, own brand knock off notebook. I could even live with a Silvine for goodness sake.

" But what would I write in it?"

All the stuff you put on crappy bits of crumpled paper!!

Hahahaha -- at least he doesn't write it on his HANDs, which is what some people I know do...

This is hilarious!! It just goes to show the difference between men and women!

Made me laugh - my OH doesn't even do the scrappy paper - he is just happy to forget anything that doesn't reside in his short term memory. Bit like to old joke about the fish swimming round with a 3 second memory! He just wants to 'take very day as it comes' consequently nothing ever gets done! And he thinks I'm odd!

Recognise that one. Admittedly, my boyfriend do use a pad most of the time at least. And his phone. But really...I don't know how many times he spends writing down the same plans/lists just because he do not own a binder of some sort to put them in so they are always with him.

I don't think it is necessarily a gender thing. I have the scrappy bits of paper, Ray has the organizer and lists. I think it is more a left brain/right brain issue. Your tidy and organized books give me a rash and make me feel terribly burdened and regimented. I have become accustomed to using the calendar on my iPhone, but even it is a bit more "Big Brother" than I want to deal with most days.

Hang in there, Dennis. Don't let her make you buy one of those damned books!

His system is still way better than my husband's which seems to consists of living in ignorance and relying on me to remind him where he should be and what he should be doing!

I know someone like that, Working Mum! It doesn't bother his girlfriend (AKA his secretary), but it bugs me!
